On Sunday, May 10, a Greenville man died in a single car wreck in Greenville County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol the accident happened shortly before 2.30 a.m. when 39 year old Trenence Michael Reece, who was known as Trent, was driving alone northbound on Perimeter Road in a four door 2001 Audi. When he reached Kitty Hawk road, the vehicle suddenly went off the right shoulder, hit a guard rail, went back onto the road and then went off the left shoulder and flew into the air and crashed. It is not known why the vehicle left the road.
According to the coroner, Reece was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, due to blunt force trauma to the head, chest and abdomen.
The coroner went on to rule the death an accident.
