On Saturday night, June 4, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and later died from his injuries.
According to state troopers the accident happened late on the Saturday night on White Horse Road. William Aaron Aloia of Oak Park Drive and aged 33 was crossing the northbound lanes of the road when a woman who was driving north, hit him with her vehicle. He was taken by emergency personnel to the Greenville Memorial Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead at around 11.00 a.m. the following day.
The woman has not been named, but the coroner ruled Aloia’s death to be an accident with the cause of death being blunt force trauma to the torso.
The case is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
