Raleigh Police Department has confirmed that a Greenville has died having been hit by a car in Raleigh on Friday night.
Raleigh Police announced on Saturday, that 17 year old Camisha Renay Valerie Vines had died following an accident which happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Calvary Drive. They said that he crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
It appears that Vines was trying to cross the street when she was hit by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Sheila Johnson, stopped and did not flee the scene. She said that it was dark and she did not see her.
According to police, Johnson had right of way and the lights were green when she hit Vines.
This is the second pedestrian accident at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Calvary Drive in about a month and a half. Edward Dean Trice, 50, was seriously hurt in September.
